About

The quality of our relationships determines the quality of our lives.

We are truly living in troubled times, globally and personally. Many of us find ourselves fluctuating between feelings of anxiety and/or depression. At 67 years old, I’ve spent nearly half my life – 35 years – as a Marriage and Family Therapist/Psychotherapist.

Adding Hypnotherapy to my practice has been a game changer, and that, along with friends, colleagues, and many clients, I’ve learned ways of managing my thinking and thereby managing my emotions. This is what I do in my private practice and I can help you to do the same.

All sessions are conducted remotely these days either by internet or phone. I work on a sliding scale and insurance reimbursement is available.

I began working with families in 1977 at San Diego Center for Children. It was a 24 hour staffing model where children and their families could receive family counseling. It was there that I learned the significance of family in everyone’s life. That was when I began my graduate work at San Diego State University in Marriage, Family, and Child Counseling. I had already decided that I wanted to focus on how a family’s dynamics impact children’s lives. Thus began the journey of my lifetime: a “long and winding road.” It’s been a phenomenal journey to date and I’ve learned so much from the many families, couples, and children that have allowed me to help them on their journeys.
